Evelyn & Chester Hicks
We are Pastors Chester and Evelyn Hicks of Prince of Peace WFC. Our church has recently relocated to South Jackson after serving in the Mid-town area of Jackson, MS for over 28 years. We are blessed and excited to cast our nets for souls in this new location that the Lord has provided for us. Our hearts desire is to win the lost to Christ and rejoice as we labor with them through their growth in God. Evelyn and I have four daughters and 7 grandchildren. We know family is important and a family atmosphere is one major quality we love about Prince of Peace. It is our prayer that you will feel at home in our church and experience the love and joy of our Saviour in your life.

What to expect
Come expecting to feel welcomed. We love any opportunity to share the Word of God and encourage the hearts and minds of those that fellowship with us. We are a growing church with a big heart committed to love God, serve others, reach the lost and teach the gospel. All of our services are open to everyone. Sunday mornings we have prayer and serve breakfast before Sunday School. On Tuesdays we have Bible Study which ends with food and fellowship.
What should I wear?
Regardless of whether you decide to dress up or dress down, you will find yourself fitting right in with people who care about you here. At Prince of Peace Word Fellowship Church, we feel people should be able to come as they are, and not feel judged or uncomfortable. Our primary focus has always been on serving God and showing love to everyone that enters our doors.
What is unique about a Prince of Peace service?
We are a family of believers. Every service is held in a friendly joyful atmosphere. We are excited about the Word and dedicated to sharing it with everyone we encounter. Whether it is before Sunday Worship service over a cup of tea or coffee or during our Tuesday night Bible Study, there is always time for you to share your questions or feedback. We are a growing church with a big heart and we would truly love for you to fellowship with us.
